Antidote
No specific antidote. Give symptomatic treatment.
First Aid
Induce vomiting if swallowed by tickling at the back of the
throat with the finger. Flush the eyes with plenty of cold
water. Wash the skin with plenty of soap and water. Get
medical attention.
Symptoms
Mainly consists of irritability lethargy, muscle tremors and
in extreme cases possibly convulsions may occur. Fipronil
is a reversible GABA receptor inhibitor and these
symptoms are reversible after termination of exposure.
Recommendations
Fipronil 0.05% Gel is a household insecticide
recommended for the control of American cockroach
(Periplameta americana) and German cockroach (Blattella
germanica). The Bait gun dispenses 0.03 gm of Fipronil
Gel at every shot 3 to 4 spots per sq.mt. is recommended
for good control.
